Scaredy Squirrel
ReplyDeleteMy opinion of Scaredy Squirrel is, a very nice and neat way of a putting a story together with the pictures telling the story. The word choice was excellent, it really fit together. I wouldn’t change anything because everything fits together and stays on topic. I would recommend because the word choice is brilliant and is fantastic for all ages. Effective word choice made Scaredy Squirrel strong because you think “well that’s interesting” instead of “that’s bland”. The word “incredible” instead of “good” was and excellent synonym to choose.

ReplyDeleteThe book Scaredy Squirrel was a great book for children, I even enjoyed it. It was about a squirrel that was afraid of lots of things and didn’t want to leave its nut tree. This was a great book for children because it was appropriate for them, and it was hilarious. I really liked the illustrations and the word choice. The effective word choice that made it a great book was venturing, consult, roaming and drastic. Some of those words would have been a little bit difficult for some kids to understand. I would recommend this book to anyone who want to have a great laugh, and because it had really great word choice.

ReplyDeleteI think the book “Scaredy Squirrel” is a very energetic and fun book to read. I recommend this book for anyone who would like a adventurous and full of action selection. I would recommend this book because it is a book for any age group and the whole family will enjoy it. This author did such an awesome job of making this a fun to read book. She used excellent work choice in this book. Some examples are Predictable, unexpected, horrible and drastic she used these words in they appropriate time.

The best thing about this book is that it is suitable for both young and old people. Something about Scaredy Squirrel that I like is that he overcomes his fears, and his fears are unreasonable so you get a good laugh. I would recommend this book is because its funny and everyone can enjoy it! Effective word choice makes Scaredy Squirrel a good book because it makes this story very descriptive and makes everyone want to keep reading it! Some examples are when he fell out of his tree and it mad us want to keep reading. Another good word choice is instead of “scared” she used “terrified” and instead of “fell” she used “tumbled” she used very good synonyms

ReplyDeleteScaredy Squirrel is a squirrel who is always scared of going out in the unknown. I think that Scaredy Squirrel is a good story because it has precise words, good synonyms, changes unnecessary words and shows but doesn’t tell.
It makes it a better picture book because when people don’t know what a word means they have to read ahead to know what it means.

Effective word choice is good because it sets a good example for little children to try new things and don’t be scared about trying new things.

ReplyDeleteScaredy Squirrel is a great book with lots of details. Scaredy Squirrel is an enjoyable book for people of all ages. I enjoyed Scaredy Squirrel because it’s a different genre from all the chapter books. It also has many illustrations!!! I would recommend this book because it has excellent word choice.
It makes the book interesting by using precise words like gliding, Overjoyed and adventurous. She also uses different word each time like instead of scared all the time she uses terrified and horrified.

ReplyDeleteI think it was very funny, there was good word choice, and it will make a good childrens book! But I mean come on he plays dead for three hours? He is that scared no one is that scared well I guess some people are or in this case squirrels.
I would highly recommend this book because its funny and it shows little kids there’s nothing to be afraid of!
There not a lot that could be changed but they could add more juicy words and sometimes explain what they mean, don’t get me wrong there is good words just not so many for example for good words there was:
Venturing Incredible Excitement Predictable Adventurous Panic Overjoyed Carefree Unexpected Horrible ECT.
Everything was very detailed and described with excellent words you could picture it without the pictures like a short very short novel!
My sum. Is that it is a very good and you will have to read it to find out more!

ReplyDeleteI thought scaredy squirrel was a magnificent book. The word choice the author used was well selected. It was extremely funny. It was about a little squirrel afraid to venture from his nut tree. It is a great book for young children but you will enjoy it no matter how old. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a chuckle. The author doesn’t need to change a thing. Good word choice is important in a book because it makes it more interesting, people will want read more. Some examples of good words the author used are venturing, predictable, roaming, and drastic.

The reason I enjoyed this book is because of the way Scaredy Squirrel has to be so prepared for everything in his life. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone who enjoys hilarious books. If I were to change anything about this book i would use some more precise words. I believe Scaredy Squirrel uses effective word choices because like in this sentence it has two great word choices (the ones in italics and underlined) “All this excitement has inspired Scaredy Squirrel to make drastic changes to his life.”

ReplyDeleteI really like Scaredy Squirrel, because the author made Scaredy Squirrel terrified of alot of things. He is just about blocked from the outside world. I enjoyed this story because of how he plays dead for so long. My review of Scaredy Squirrel. I think Scaredy Squirrel was an excellent kid’s book for little kids; it didn’t have too many big words. I would recommend this book for little kids because like I said doesn’t have too many complex words, small story so kids don’t get restless. Strong word choice makes Scaredy Squirrel an effective picture book because in one Paragraph Scaredy Squirrel is gliding to the unknown and then it shows he glides there and shows what he does there.

ReplyDeleteWhat I thought was fantastic about Scaredy Squirrel is that Scaredy Squirrel learns that not all things are scary. Would I recommend Scaredy Squirrel? Yes because Scaredy Squirrel is so cute and little kid would adore this book. I think the author chose fabulous word choice because it is easy for little kids to read. I probably not want to change anything because you always need something easy to read. I think the words that made Scaredy Squirrel such a strong story is the words;
